Compressed Air System Design Audits

Save Energy and Increase Your Bottom Line

Cummins-Wagner, a past participant in the US Department of Energy’s Compressed Air Challenge Project Development Committee, adheres to strict guidelines when measuring flow during compressed air system studies. Our audits are designed to enhance your bottom line and uncover energy-saving solutions tailored to your systems.

“We’ve always been more of a problem-solver than a vendor. Our company isn’t merely about selling equipment; it’s about providing solutions to our customers and their facilities.”Justin Radebaugh, Compressed Air and Vacuum Products Specialist

Justin Radebaugh supports both the industrial and commercial departments in Maryland at Cummins-Wagner. He manages product inquiries, proposals, and general questions about all our compressed air vendors.

Our Process for Compressed Air Audits

During a compressed air audit, Radebaugh and his team measure the system’s demand, kW, amps, flow (cfm), and pressure (psi) using ACR data loggers. They drill into a straight section of pipe to insert a flow meter, which they monitor to assess daily air usage. To ensure accuracy, a technician revisits the system annually to recalibrate the flow meter using amp, current, and pressure loggers.

“Air audits provide logical solutions for our customers. We strive to equip them with the best information so we can collaboratively install an appropriately sized, energy-efficient system.”

Our Main Brands of Air Compressors for Commercial and Industrial Markets

  • Sullair: Our primary brand for air compressors, offering a variety of equipment to meet individual needs.
  • Kobelco, a Division of Rogers Machinery
  • Zeks Air Dryers: These remove moisture (and occasionally oil) from the air using filters.

How to Obtain Potential Energy Rebates

To help our customers secure potential energy rebates, we collaborate with several energy-saving companies in Maryland. To qualify for a rebate, you need to have a compressed air audit. That’s where we come in. During your audit, we verify energy savings from your new energy-efficient systems. Your rebate is determined by the energy your new equipment can save.

Companies that offer energy rebates:

At Cummins-Wagner, we conduct air audits because we want YOU to save energy, time, and money with your equipment. If you have questions about our air compressors, audits, or potential rebates, please call us at 240-542-5573. We’re here to help!
